While August saw the long anticipated centennial celebration for SWAIA’s Santa Fe Indian Market, the party will continue in October for the SWAIA Santa Fe Indian Market at Albuquerque. Collectors can look forward to another chance to see traditional and contemporary works by prominent Native American artists, and for those residing in Santa Fe, the drive is just a short 45 minutes away!

After the large turnout and immense success of the August Indian Market, SWAIA is gifting the public with even more—with the Albuquerque market set to have 100 booths for SWAIA juried artists. Last year’s artist list, with some returning this year, included renowned Native American artists Bill Mendoza, Christal Ratt, Cody Sanderson, Dolores Purdy, Elias Not Afraid, Eric Lewis and many more.

Much like the August Santa Fe Indian Market, Albuquerque will see works that range from paintings and drawings, to carvings, textiles and sculpture, to fashion and jewelry. In addition, the dates of the market coincide with the first weekend of the annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, with this year marking the 50th celebration.
